Very welcoming and accommodating, we had the Sunday lunch carvery which was very tasty, lacking only in the amount of crackling served with the pork. Beer was of a good selection and tasted good.

I visited with three friends last week and we were all impressed with the authentic feel of an old building with modern fittings, the welcoming staff and the choice of menu.I had the toad in the hole which was a huge portion ,well cooked and with a very tasty gravy. My friends opted for a simpler meal with a baked potato and filling and we're also very satisfied.I should be happy to recommend anybody to try this quality establishment out .

It was a nice experience but the menu is not as typical pub menu. I ordered a pork belly and was quite similar to a finger fish. Good tasty but not properly what I had imagined. Excellent service

Sorry but I disagree wth most of the other reviews. Over priced for pub grub. As for the Sunday roast...the beef was most definitely NOT good quality, never seen or had such horribly fatty pork belly in my life & so called roast potatoes tasted more like 'deep fried' to me. Awful

Very friendly staff. Very cosy. However very disappointed at the fish finger sandwich as the sliced bread was very thick , no sign if any butter, hardly any tartar sauce and tiny dry bits of fish. Poor value overall.

Very, very good pub. Great place for food or just a couple of drinks. Great service from friendly staff. Generous seating inside and out. Sunday roast was amazing and the deserts were delicious.
