About
Report
Athough it is uncertain exactly when our practice was established, it is believed to date back to before the Second World War, when it predominantly dealt with farm animals. However, as the need for agricultural veterinary care in Essex declined over the years, our practice became dedicated to delivering first class care for small animals.
Meet the Team
Report
David is the owner of Elm House Veterinary Centre. He is an experienced Veterinary Surgeon and has been treating pets at the practice for over 35 years. Helping his clients is David's true passion and this is clear to see; he can even be quoted as saying, "there has never been a day when I have not wanted to come to work."
Puppy Parties
Report
Getting a new puppy is exciting; they're playful, affectionate and if raised correctly, will grow into a loyal companion. However, it's extremely important your pet receives the right training in their early years to ensure they develop into a confident and obedient pet. At Elm House Veterinary Centre we hold weekly puppy socialisation classes, or 'puppy parties' as they're more commonly known.
Neutering
Report
Neutering is a routine operation to remove an animal's sexual organs, making it impossible for them to breed. While this is a great benefit if you don't intend to breed from your pet, neutering will also prevent certain health problems and unwanted behaviour. No longer coming into season, preventing bleeding, unwanted attention and mating behaviour from males.
Vaccinations and Health Checks
Report
In some cases, a baby animal can require as much attention as a baby human. However, you have nothing to worry about because at Elm House, we are here to help you every step of the way, starting with your pet's first check-up. You're strongly recommended to bring your new pet to see us once a month until they are 6 months old.
