Ordered Grilled Cauliflower. It took a bit of time to cook but it was fresh and simply delicious. Worth the wait. Definitely gonna visit again.

The surroundings are lovely and the menu isn’t overly expensive. I would avoid the chips and opt for fries and ask for them on the plate - not caged in a ridiculous pretentious basket. If you are having steak… and like it rare, which is the only way to eat steak, avoid the sirloin and opt for the ribeye as my sirloin had ribbons of fat running through it making it impossible to chew!
I mentioned this to one of the excellent and attentive waitresses and I was basically told that I shouldn’t have ordered the sirloin. This information would have been a little more helpful at point

Tucked away at the top of the lanes, No32 didn't appear to get the footfall of the eateries lower down but those who fail to come this far are missing out. Portion sizes are above average and the food was well presented, tasty and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful.

For our first weekend in Brighton, we were recommended having a look at the Lane's area.. happened upon No. 32. Had wonderful service, food and drinks sitting outside at lunchtime, so decided to book in for… dinner too. Dinnertime was equally as delicious and fantastic service. OK food took a little longer than we wanted, but that is only because we were so hungry, nothing to do woth the staff. We went there last night for our wedding anniversary as we were recommended by a friend but what a disappointment….. although the cocktail was nice though . The menu is very limited anyway but then to be told… there were only 3 starters available! I picked one which had bread with it , when it came the bread was rock hard so I sent it back , they then brought it back with lots of bread on it which was fresher …. At no point did the waitress apologise at all . We were not offered the dessert menu either . The service all round was very poor & very slow considering how empty
