The Bishops Veterinary Surgery
You're welcome to pop into our Hertfordshire practice to have a look around and say hello! Please read our advice following recent reports of confirmed parvovirus cases in the local area. The staff are so kind and caring. If treatment needs to be given, they tell you why, in detail, and give you a guide to any and all costs involved. We always get great treatment. We've used this surgery for 17 years, the vets and the nurses are always friendly and tell you everything you need to know.
Services
About Us
Report
The Bishops Veterinary Surgery was set up in 1991. At Bishops, we are here for you when your pets need us the most - when they are unwell. We have experienced, qualified staff who will do their utmost to get to the bottom of the problem and come up with a solution. However, we're not just there for the bad times.
Cat Friendly Clinic
Report
We are aware that coming to the vets can be a stressful time for our feline friends so when they are here, we try to minimise their stress levels. Our staff have been trained to be empathetic to a cat's needs, we have a separate cat waiting area and there are towels behind reception that you can ask for to cover their catboxes to make them feel more secure.
Pet Nutrition
Report
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
Cat Info
Report
Once you have your kitten, it is important to give them the best start in life by setting them up with a preventative health care plan to keep them healthy and safe from disease. Our vaccination course encompasses 2 health checks with our vets and vaccination against flu (calicivirus and herpesvirus), enteritis (panleukopenia) and feline leukaemia virus.
Rabbit Info
Report
You may be used to vaccinating your dogs and cats, but have you ever considered that your rabbits need vaccinations too? There are 2 fatal rabbit diseases - Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD) - that we can protect our rabbits from, both of which are found in the wild rabbit population in the UK and can be transmitted to our pets.
