The pub is fine, but whoever enjoyed their stay at this hotel was simply lying. We were put in the lodge (room 25) which is seperate from the main building. The main door looked like it had been attempted to be broken into several times. In the corridor outside the room you could hear what sounded like a severe leak. The bin in the room hadn't been emptied. The duvan bed was genuinely the most uncomfortable bed ever. The carpet was FULL of stains. The pillows were so thin and lumpy. The duvet was covered in brown stains, as was the mattress. Looked like their were blood stains on the walls. 1

It cheap to stay, but it not home to home, if you look for that this is not the place. It good for stop over, one thing l noted, the shower take ages to give you a bit of warm water. Not very good. Certainly will not recommend, you will be disappointed.

I hired this Venu last weekend. Beautiful room and the staff were lovely. However, I had previously been in and discussed the lay out of the room along with the number of people attending. I got a call few days before to confirm numbers (brilliant & organised). when I arrived there wasn't enough tables to seat my guests. The heating was also broken, my guests sat with coats on . I would have expected the hotel to have some emergency heaters put in knowing a big event was on, and it had snowed for the first time this year, instead 3 little plug in radiators. My Aunt spoke to the manager along

I have been here a couple of times and each time have not been overly impressed. Food is average. Dry cake. Service is nothing special. Cutlery we were given was old and quite frankly, dirty. The building itself is really nice and gives a welcome feel.
