Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles at specific points to reduce inflammation and pain while promoting recovery. This technique effectively treats musculoskeletal conditions by stimulating the body's natural healing processes. Our physiotherapists combine acupuncture with other treatments for optimal results in managing chronic pain and sports injuries.
Joint Mobilisation
Joint mobilisation uses precise techniques to improve joint movement and reduce pain. This manual therapy addresses stiffness and restricted mobility in musculoskeletal conditions. Our physiotherapists apply controlled movements to restore normal joint function and accelerate recovery from injuries affecting the spine and extremities.
Interferential
Interferential therapy employs low-frequency electrical stimulation to relieve soft tissue pain. This non-invasive treatment reduces discomfort by stimulating peripheral nerves without causing additional pain. Our physiotherapists use interferential therapy to manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions effectively.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound treatment utilises high-frequency sound waves to target muscle and tendon injuries. This therapy promotes healing in soft tissues by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation. Our physiotherapists apply ultrasound for treating sports injuries, tendonitis, and other musculoskeletal conditions with proven effectiveness.
Therapeutic Exercise
Therapeutic exercise programmes are tailored to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility. These customised plans address specific injuries and prevent recurrence through targeted movements. Our physiotherapists provide detailed guidance and follow-up resources to ensure patients maintain progress between treatment sessions.

I have had a lower back problem for months, but only after one session I am feeling much better. Una takes the time to reflect on the issue, explains well and is a good listener. After the appointment she sent a very helpful PDF with excercises we discussed, which made it easy to systematically do the advised excercises. Highly recommended!

I went to Una with lower back pain and she very thoroughly assessed me and gave an easy to follow routine that had fixed the problem within 3 days. She then ensured I was given exercises to strengthen and support the problem area aiming to prevent further issues. Throughout my treatment Una provided a very professional and friendly service and maintained an environment to allow treatment in line with coronavirus safety measures.

Both my husband and i have attended FirstPhysio Glasgow on a few occasions. We found Una very caring, thorough and efficient. She would take sometime to review our condition before giving us any treatment and advice on exercises and follow through. We have both experienced great relief from the treatment and advice we were given. We would certainly recommend FirstPhysio.
