Room was big and spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was OK, nothing special, but the biggest issue for me was the windows were all warped and when closed let in the noise from the motorway, so I didn't get a very good night's sleep!

Good morning,
My stay at this hotel was extremely dissapointing. The room was extremely hot. I had a wedding to attend and could barely get 1 hour of Good sleep. I just wondered how a hotel does not have enough fans or air-condition for their service users. The bathroom was filled with black mould. I need to formally complain about my experience and request a refund because it was appalling. This is the worst hotel I have ever been. I wish I knew prior to booking; I certainly would not have gone ahead with such.

We used Mercure for after a wedding. Got into our room at about 11.30pm. there was a wedding happening at the hotel, and our room was above the beer garden. Guests were in the garden until 3am so neither me or my husband could sleep AT ALL. the windows provided no limit to the noise. I tried to call reception 3 times to see if we could swap rooms but got no answer. At 4am our shower started dripping into the bath which created more noise. Nice hotel room but terrible to allocate a bedroom above the beer garden! Would avoid room 206 at all costs.

What a lovely hotel. The girls here accommodated us straight away after checking out of a nightmare hotel a few miles away. Very happy, polite girls on reception that went above and beyond to get us settled in. Thank you so much
