A traditional style inn, the Spotted Ox was originally built as a house and later extended to an inn. Located in the historic and charming village of Tockwith in North Yorkshire, there has been a village on the site since at least 1086. The Doomsday Book mentions 'Tocvi' and our most famous moment in history came when the village was used as a staging post by Oliver Cromwell prior to the Battle of Marston Moor in 1644.
