A relaxed, informal, cosy restaurant that offers award winning fine dining and great service, set within a traditional pub. Ben and Lindsey welcome you to The Star Inn dining experience with Northern hospitality, great Yorkshire food and ales not forgetting many eclectic wines. The food here is honest modern British fayre influenced by many outstanding Yorkshire produce.

Please advise our waiting staff of any food allergies, intolerances, special requirements when ordering. Staal's smoked salmon, beetroot and apple relish, horseradish cream, capers, fresh garden apple and shoots. Doreen's black pudding fritters with pressed pigs head terrine, piccalilli, frissee, crackling crumb and mustard frills.

The Star Inn holds events including wine tasting, gin afternoon's and gourmet dining evenings with celebrity guests. Keep a look out for the next event. If you would like to hold an event at the Star please get in touch. We have two sittings available on Boxing Day this year, 12.30pm and 4pm. 3 course menu and coffee for 45 per head.

We feel it is vital that all our customers feel safe and that is down to the Star team and other diners. We need to keep our customers and team as safe as possible and protect the business from further closures. Masks will continue to be worn by all staff unless exempt, those team members will wear a visor.

The Langdale dining room can accommodate up to 32 people with a fixed priced hire, please contact the team for room rates and more information. The Star Inn is a great dining venue for your celebration, whether you want to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or even your business event. Exclusive use of The Star Inn is also an option to hold your wedding reception.
