Based in Chandler's Ford, I provide driving tuition in Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, Winchester & local surrounding areas. My tuition car is a fully electric Kia e-Niro. With no gears or clutch to worry about, learning to drive in a modern electric car is easier than a manual, and great for the environment too!

I will tailor your tuition to suit your individual needs with client centred learning in place, teaching you skills above and beyond those required to pass the practical driving test, and ensuring you're safe on the road for the rest of your life. I welcome all ages and abilities from complete beginners to full licence holders.
Services
I'm Richard, your friendly Chandler's Ford based driving instructor. I've lived in the Winchester area for over 30 years, and I moved to Chandler's Ford in 2018. Learning to Drive
Report
You can start learning to drive as soon as you receive your provisional licence. In fact, many learners often find the theory material easier to understand after a little real-world experience. Before you start your practical driving tuition, you must have a valid provisional driving licence. You can apply on the GOV.UK website.
The Theory Test
Report
The theory test is a computer-based test, divided into two parts - multiple-choice questions, and the hazard perception test. Both parts are taken in the same sitting. The multiple-choice element consists of 50 questions. Each question has 4 possible answers, and you must select the correct answer or answers.
The Practical Test
Report
You must take your provisional driving licence, and your theory test pass certificate. If you aren't able to show these to the examiner, your test won't go ahead, and you will lose the test fee. Before you get in the car, the examiner will test your eyesight by asking you to read a car number plate from a distance of 20 metres.
