The Pack Horse Inn is a Traditional English Country Pub set in the picturesque village of Ellingham in Northumberland. We are dog friendly, offer Bed & Breakfast and are a popular eatery in the area. Also surrounded by beautiful countryside and we are conveniently close to both hill walking in the National Park and coastal exploration on Northumberland's aptly awarded AONB.
Here at The Pack Horse Inn we are very proud of our Northumbrian heritage. The Meat we use is reared in and around Ellingham Village by local farmers who drink regularly at our bar, our Eggs are Organic & Free-Range (also supplied by our neighbours), we stock local ales including Rigg and Furrow from Acklington Farm and local Gin including Hepple and Holy Island.

The Pack Horse Inn has five Bed and Breakfast rooms and a self catering cottage right next door to the pub. The quaint and picturesque village of Ellingham is the perfect place to stay to explore the beauty and delights of Northumberland, we are in a good central location for the AONB coastline and the Cheviot Hills to the West.

At the Pack Horse Inn we serve lunch from 12pm 'til 2pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm 'til 3pm on Sundays. In the evening we are open from 6pm and serve food 'til 9pm Monday to Saturday. On Sunday evenings our punters are invited to come and enjoy a drink and meet some friendly local faces. Breakfast is offered to anyone staying in our B&B and is served in the restaurant between 8am and 9am.
