I run a portrait studio and gallery in Reading, Berkshire which I am proud to say has now been established 36 years. I operate from a Grade 2 listed building with a purpose built studio, gallery and workroom built on the side. In recent years I have added an outdoor studio which is very popular during the summer and autumn months.
Portraits

How long does the photo session last? I give everyone 1 hour. Sometimes a full hour is required particularly for large groups or if young children and babies are nervous or upset. For small groups and individuals it can often take 30 - 45 minutes. Please therefore arrive promptly at the arranged time.

Professional headshots are extremely important when it comes to things like job applications, business ventures, social media presence, portfolios etc. It certainly gives you an advantage over someone who uses snapshots taken by themsleves, a friend or family member. Over the last few years this side of my business has grown steadily and its something I offer at my studio or on location.

I can capture company events such as parties, presentations, staff photos and special occasions. For individuals I can capture Birthday parties, Christenings, Bar Mitzvahs etc. Basically all important milestones we experience during our lifetime.
Wedding Photography

So on the wedding day I'll be almost invisible, just capturing the day as it unfolds without directing, setting up or posing. Of course I'll do some formal groups and some portraits as I still regards these as being very important. I love photographing weddings (the proof being that I have shot over one thousand of them!) and still have that excitement and buzz before each one.
