The practice was founded in 1911 at 32 London Street in central Norwich by Edward Coe a photographer and his brother Neville an optician. In the intervening 100 years the practice relocated to St Andrews Hill in Norwich and ultimately moved to it's current location at Cromer Road in 1995. The Eaton practice was opened in 1976.
We conduct both NHS and Private eye examinations. This will take about 30 minutes and will investigate the ocular health of your eyes and all their structures and determine if there is any need for a prescription. Have Glaucoma or a close relative (ie parent or sibling) with Glaucoma and over 40 years old.
At both practices we stock an extensive range of frames from designer to budget. Our Dispensers are constantly on the look out for innovative and stylish frames to cater for our very varied client base. It is important to us that our customers have plenty of choice, and we enjoy the challenge of finding frames to suit all tastes and pockets.
If you are into sports, keeping your eye on the ball is essential. Many sports require specific types of eye wear that fit well and stay in place and high impact sports require shatterproof lenses. Coe Costa and Moore can offer a range of sports eye wear created just for you. Prescription swimming goggles can be made to your exact prescription.
These are procedures to help people who suffer from different forms of visual stress and problems when processing written information. They include; Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Meares Irlen Syndrome (Scotopic Senstivity), Aspergers Syndrome and Migraine. There are two different tests, the overlay assessement and prescribing of coloured acetate sheets, or the colorimetry test for coloured spectacles lenses.
