Lazy and dishonest. I co-rented a flat through them for less than a year - not only it took them weeks and multiple nudges to do the most basic admin, but they also (together with the other person I was renting from/with) lied to the council about the real number of tenants in the house to pay fewer taxes. I was also told by the person I was living with not to ask them for maintenance work (e.g. clean carpets or repaint the walls in my room which were full of stains and holes) because if I did, they would raise the rent. I have rented a flat through Barbara Gibson Properties for just over 5 years. All I can say is I hope my new lettings agent will be able to live up to the same superb standards. Considering quite a number of lettings agents have a bad reputation, I thank my lucky stars that I had one of the good ones. Ive used some of the big chain letting agents in the Highgate area before and have been very disappointed. I found Nick and Alan highly responsive and extremely professional at all times. They found me my first tenant, who stayed for a couple of years and left the flat in an impeccable condition and then another tenant very swiftly. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.
