In the school's file for the Nursery School in Pridham Road, the school's file stated that it was originally a day centre for Thornton Heath - presumably run by an arm of the NHS.

Thornton Heath Nursery School (THNS) admits children aged between two and four years old on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applications are ordered by date, so we recommend applying as early as possible to avoid disappointment. This option allows part time morning children to stay for longer to have lunch in school or part time afternoon children to arrive early and have lunch.

Your child will be in one of the four nursery classes: Caterpillars, Bumble Bees, Butterflies or Ladybirds. Your child will be allocated a 'Key Person'; this person will talk to you about your child's development and develop a significant relationship with your child. The Key Person should be the person you talk to if you have any questions or concerns.

We have seven Early Years Educators - with a wealth of experience of how to meet the learning needs of pre school children. We also have 4 Teaching Assistants, a qualified senior teacher and our Head of Nursery on site.
