I purchased a 2021 vehicle from CarSupermarket in January. Within just three months, dashboard warning lights appeared. When I contacted the service team, I was informed that I would need to pay a non-refundable 75 inspection fee, plus additional costs for any repairseven though the fault arose so soon after purchase.
Despite explaining the issue, both the service team and the service manager declined to assist without this payment. I raised the matter with customer service, but unfortunately, the response was the same.
After the inspection (which I paid for), I was informed that the vehicle was completely dry of oil and had some minor oil leaks. This was especially concerning as the car had only been driven approximately 1,000 miles since purchase and had received a dealer service just four months earlier. Shockingly, the service manager claimed this was a maintenance issue and stated that oil should be replaced every 23 monthssomething I have never encountered or been advised of when owning similar vehicles.
Given the circumstances, I have now reported the issue to Trading Standards and am initiating a Section 75 claim through my credit card provider.
In my view, this handling contradicts the principles of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which states that products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend CarSupermarket and advise other potential buyers to proceed with caution.

Not yet completed my purchase of a "new car"..but i can not fault the staff at North Shields. All very polite and accommodating. I ordered 1st car - a Ford Edge, but it was huge, Bought the 2nd "blind" - Toyota C-HR a week ago, but i can not get away with it. So i am in the process of buying a 3rd & final car (14 day cooling off period) - Mercedes GLA, and nothing seems to be a bother. Making this stressful time much easier for me (although it is probably a mare for them). Thank You so much to Steve, Dave and Lewis (all guys i have dealt with). Would highly recommend.

I wouldn’t buy another car from them, we purchased the Seat Ateca from salesman Steve. The car went back after a week with the oil light coming on and then shortly after the battery died completely requiring replacement. Steve was contacted to discuss changing the car after the issues and said he would need to speak to his manager. We never heard back and I could never get through to him. For this reason I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Great service from Ben love the car. Was messed around by another garage and was at my wits end. Ben was very understanding. I had my own finance and there was no pushy salesman talk. Recently purchased a car from Carsupermarket.com and couldn’t be happier with the car. The process once car has been selected etc is very quiet, but behind the scenes the car is going through all the prep etc ready for you to collect or have delivered. I had mine delivered and it was free and the service was great. It was all very professional and time was taken to ensure I was happy with the vehicle before they released it into my ownership. Steve from the delivery company was great help and super friendly and professional. I cannot fault the process of purchasing my new car. 10/10 service and
