Great location in a quiet wee dell. Very close to Dartmouth and the beaches of South Hams, with Dartmoor only a short drive away. Peter was very welcoming and helpful during our stay, the accommodation was is very comfortable, with all the white goods and bits and bobs you'll need for a 7 day stay. They even supply windbreaks for the beach, toys for the kids, wood for the log burners. The pool and hot tub were run through a booking system, which gave a benefit of having the space to yourselves. For us the peace and quiet of the location was welcome after the hustle and bustle of the city. We will

We stayed in Burrator over Christmas 2019. It was our sixth visit to Gitcombe since 2007. We love the place. Its in a beautiful setting and the cottages are so well appointed. The owner, Peter, who lives on site is a great host, and ensures that you want for nothing. If you want peace and quiet in a beautiful setting while you explore Devon (whats not to like about Devon) Gitcombe is the place for you. The Ward family, Suffolk.

Lovely place, especially the main Georgian house, beautiful and full of character. Not easy to find, finished up with a very muddy car after the satnav sent me on a wild goose chase around some very narrow lanes. Would recommend checking the route carefully beforehand.

We had such a lovely stay at Gitcombe, the Coach House was gorgeous and the pool and play room were fantastic. The view from the hot tub is incredible! A proper luxury break, I couldn't recommend it highly enough, we are already planning our next visit.

Stayed in the main house. Absolutely beautiful, really well set up for families. Very spacious with gorgeous views. Lovely swimming pool and soft play area. Highly recommend
