At La Taqueria, our food speaks for itself. We are a family of independent taco restaurants in Belfast, rooted in traditional Mexican flavours and recipes. Our craft combines Northern Ireland's local produce with authentic Mexican ingredients sourced directly from Mexico. Founded in 2016 as a popup, we gained recognition as the best restaurant in Ireland by the McKenna Guide, leading to our permanent locations. Our team, including co-founders Steve, Andy, and Adam, alongside tequila and mezcal experts Laura and Jorden, is dedicated to delivering authentic Mexican street food.We prioritise quality by importing key ingredients like dry chillies, spices, and soft drinks from Mexico. Our menu mirrors our drinks selection, focusing on artisan tequila and mezcal. In 2019, we expanded with the support of partners Gary Lightbody and Nathan Connolly from Snow Patrol. We came in without a booking and were given a table for only an hour. That hour was more than enough to enjoy a starter and three types of tacos that were all delicious. We originally ordered two mains and decided to try another one after finishing them. Very fast kitchen and the best tacos Ive had so far. Margaritas were strong and delicious. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive regardless of a full house. Really enjoyed this place and will definitely come back

Really really good food, went here to celebrate my anniversary with my partner and it was exceptional food. Also had the coconut margarita, would highly recommend.

The greatest Mexican food in the country. The cocktails, the changing menu, the everything. I love a bit of fine dining but I could eat here every night for the rest of my days. For me, there is nowhere I'd rather go in Belfast. And I haven't even mentioned the absolute legends that are the staff...
