About
Report
That pub was The Swan at Whiston situated in 6 acres of grounds at the edge of the village. That man was James Davies who became known to all as Jim, a well known and respected landlord. A lot of hard work went into building up the business as it is today with Jim in the early days, going off to do his daytime job with Severn Trent then returning home to run the pub in the evening, often finishing in the early hours of the morning.

Food
Report
Due to demand we extended the dining facilities a few years ago with an extension to provide a separate restaurant area adjacent to the lounge. The restaurant can cater for 40 covers with a variety of flexible seating arrangements. The decorations and theme fit in perfectly with the rest of the pub providing a traditional english country restaurant.
Wine Menu
Report
We have a varied selection of white, red and rose wines as well as sparkling wine and champagne, mostly available by the glass, as indicated below. Served by 175ml / 250ml / Bottle - where indicated. Citrus notes on the nose, with fresh lime and lemon on the palate, accompanied by a riper hint of pineapple, and mouthwatering acidity.

The beer garden is accessible next to the bar entrance and provides the perfect setting for an afternoon or early evening drink when the sunshine is out. We also have an aviary in the garden with a selection of birds including: Budgerigars, Cockatiels, Parakeets and Bantams, as well as a chicken pen.
