Your Trusted Primary School in Shrewsbury
Established in 1955, Meole Brace C of E Primary School and Nursery is a values-driven educational institution rooted in Christian distinctiveness. Our vision 'Let your light shine' (Matthew 5:16) guides our commitment to nurturing happy, safe, and supported pupils through a broad curriculum underpinned by Community, Respect, and Perseverance. As part of the Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust, we combine academic excellence with spiritual development, offering personalized learning experiences across Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 6. Our dedicated staff and governors work in partnership with parents to create an environment where children develop critical thinking, cultural awareness, and resilience. With extensive facilities including specialist classrooms, outdoor learning spaces, and a recently upgraded computer suite, we provide rich educational opportunities.

Our curriculum integrates local, national, and global perspectives while maintaining strong connections with Holy Trinity Church. We offer extended care through breakfast club and after-school provision, alongside diverse extracurricular activities. Recognized for excellence in music education with a Gold Award from the Shropshire Music Hub, we also hold the School Games Silver Kite Mark for sports provision. Our staff includes qualified professionals with expertise in safeguarding, special educational needs, and pastoral support. Through regular educational visits, Forest Schools sessions, and residential trips, we ensure practical application of knowledge. The school maintains rigorous safeguarding standards and actively promotes online safety, attendance, and family support initiatives.

This school is excellent! The teachers have been fantastic, and my son is thriving! It has a wonderful ethos. He had been badly bullied at his last school and arrived at Meole Primary an anxious and depressed child, he now has friends and is at the top of his class. And the teachers have supported him when he needed most.

Terrible school. Failed to help my son on so many levels. Terrible, ignorant staff who think they do great jobs with kids.
