Had lunch here and ordered loaded potato skins and I got 3 little potato wedges with cheese and bacon...my brother in law ordered nachos and it was like the tortilla in a bowl sprinkled with cheese and some salsa on the side...I had lasagne for main..it was tasty bit no mince all pasta and sauce...and the ambience was cold..not very warm inside.

Brilliant. Sugath and his family are lovely. Great new owners who will take this hotel back to what it used to be and better. Great place and very well worth a visit whether you want accommodation, a meal or even a coffee, this hotel deserves all the credit for the great staff and warm atmosphere. Best of Luck Sugath. Had a 3 night stay with work.New owner was really nice and friendly- and very helpful.All staff working in the bar and restaurant were chatty .Food was enjoyable,its not an extensive menu however what I did have was nicely cooked and portions generous. Room was spacious ,clean and comfortable.Wet room shower was great.Strong wifi in all areas that I used.Breakfast was nice.If I am in the area again I would stay at the Northern.

Dropped in fir a meal, place was very quite for a hotel, I had Steak pie it was OK, not sure if I would go back as the ambience was poor.
