Your Stay in Rossendale Valley's Historic Hotel
Sykeside Country House Hotel has been a cornerstone of hospitality in the Rossendale Valley since 1989. Originally established as a boutique guest house, our family-run business has evolved while maintaining the traditional charm of our Grade II listed building, which dates back to 1883. With eight en-suite bedrooms, including three executive suites featuring spa baths and a four-poster bridal suite, we combine historical elegance with modern comforts such as free Wi-Fi and digital television. Our commitment to preserving the architectural heritage of this former mill owner's home ensures guests experience the unique character of the Rossendale Valley.

While our restaurant has closed, we guide visitors to exceptional local dining options nearby. Janet and Stephen, who have managed the property since 2004, draw on decades of experience to provide personalised service, including accessible accommodations and flexible check-in arrangements. Our location offers easy access to cultural landmarks like the Helmshore Textile Museum and outdoor activities at Ski Rossendale, all within 25 minutes of Manchester. We prioritise direct communication with guests through our landline and email systems, ensuring tailored assistance for reservations and inquiries.

We had a lovely birthday dinner here on 21 st July 2021. The food was first class, and the price was competitive. The staff couldnt do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend Sykeside House.
