All our LGV training courses are carried out in the area where you will be taking your test. That way you dont waste valuable training time travelling on dual carriageways each day to get to your test area!

At our Training Centres in Norwich and Colchester, we carry out FORKLIFT OPERATOR TRAINING on both COUNTERBALANCE and REACH TRUCKS and also on Customers Premises. Lgv
Report
Category C1 - vehicles between 3.5 - 7.5 tonnes MAM. This category is necessary for Candidates wishing to undertake Paramedic training, or those wishing to drive small/ medium horseboxes ect. Category C - rigid vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, with a maximum weight of 32 tonnes MAM. Category C+E - any articulated goods vehicle, or drawbar combination from 12 tonnes - 44 tonnes MAM.
LGV Theory Training
Report
Before you can undertake a practical LGV driving test, you must pass 2 separate LGV theory tests. You can prepare for the LGV Theory tests through self-study, or by attending a 1 day Theory Training Course, to prepare you for the Hazard Perception and Multiple Choice Tests. The course includes a presentation to introduce candidates to the basics of LGV's, and an explanation of, and introduction to both tests, including practice at mock tests.
Drivers CPC Initial Qualification
Report
One is the Case Study (Module 2). This test is conducted on a computer, and must be taken at a recognised DSA approved test centre. This test can be taken either before or after the Practical Driving Training and Test (Module 3), but must be successfully completed before you can attempt the final Practical Demonstration (Module 4) Test.
Drivers CPC Periodic Training
Report
Driver CPC affects any business or individual driver using a vocational licence for commercial purposes. Drivers who hold both LGV and PCV licences will only have to complete one Driver CPC Periodic Training. All Drivers will need to complete a minimum of 35 hours of periodic training within every 5 year period.

What is a Driver Card, How to use the Driver Card, Operating the Digital Tachograph, Time Settings, Adding Manual Entries, Mode Switch Settings, Printing a Report, How to change the Paper Roll, Endorsements and Penalties, Legislation.
