Best burger I have had in the UK and a fantastic selection of beer. It is very beautiful inside with high cielings and comfortable tables. The service was also very good. We will definitely return, and despite all the other wonderful looking items on the menu, it will be hard to avoid ordering another one of their burgers!

Great food. Family friendly, we had a 2 year old and 8 month old with us and the staff were very accommodating. Book a high chair if you need one as they get allocated per booking and you may find there are non left as it gets busy. Clean and well kept. Lovely outside area and near to some decent walks along the river.

Excellent food. Menu updated everyday with fresh & local products. I had a hanger steak it was DELICIOUS. One of my best piece of meat in a long time ! (melted in my mouth)

We don't live that close to Oundle but have make a detour the last couple of years to come here every few months (staying in the Talbot) as it is our favourite all round food and drink experience. The combination of first rate beer, wine, food, service and atmosphere is more what we would expect at a much higher price, if it were available at all. This year we came for Xmas Eve dinner and Xmas day late lunch. The former was as good as it always is (hanger steak and fish), and Xmas day, although not cheap was first class in every respect and thoroughly organised. Well done as usual! Simon and Candida

A must visit when in the area. The food is excellent, the beer is amazing and the staff are very attentive. Also, the outdoor seating area is great on a nice day.

My wife and kids came here in a Monday night. The atmosphere is fun and light with just enough fun stuff in the decor to be entertaining and not cluttered. Our waitress, Daisy, was absolutely amazing, the bar brought out excellent drinks and the food is top dollar. I like the simple daily menus and the food here came out hot and fresh.
