With all of our dental care, the aim is to gradually reduce your treatment needs by providing you with high quality dental care and long lasting mercury free restorations, and then giving you the knowledge and tools and ability to look after them yourself.Whilst no one can guarantee pain free dentistry we take a lot of pride in making your visit as pleasant as possible.

The Current fee guide gives you all the guideline costs for common treatments here at the Natural Smile. Its is almost impossible to give you a totally accurate cost from a fee guide, there are just too many variables in each person and in each treatment. A good example to illustrate this will be the cost of a filling.

We aim to 'loosen' and removed the filling intact, rather than drilling it away, in as few pieces as possible, a technique known as 'chunking'. Detailed assessment from x-ray of what is 'locking' the filling in to assess how it can be most straightforwardly removed.

Using a very fine sharp high speed bur (drill) we cut a channel around the outside of the filling and, if necessary section it into pieces, releasing it at the points identified and enabling it to be lifted out in 'chunks' - a new dental bur is used each time to ensure accurate cutting and easy removal.Use of high volume suction and continual addition of water spray are supplied to the site where the amalgam is being removed.

At The Natural Smile we have a lot of experience of using biocompatible materials in many different situations; we have been using them for a long time with great results. These materials not only produce excellent aesthetics, but their biocompatibility ensures that they integrate with the body extremely well and in the case of Biodentine can actually promote healing of damaged tissue.

This is a new scheme that came into being last year and here at The Natural Smile we are happy to offer this service, although we do believe that in the long run it is better for you to see the dentist due to the limitations listed below. Additionally there is some paperwork that we need to complete with you by law, meaning that it will take us longer on the first direct access visit to see you so the first visit must be for 60 minutes.
