All children, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities and children who speak English as an additional language are well prepared for school. Older children recognise letters, sounds and eagerly practise writing names and numbers correctly. Staff support all children well to gain good communication and language skills.
For example, older children are keen to talk about their favourite toys at 'show and tell' time. Staff ask a range of effective questions and model the language associated with thinking. Our aim is to help each child meet their full potential, academically, socially and emotionally. We believe that if children feel happy and secure, they will learn and grow as individuals.

The Curriculum
Report
At Little Explorers Nursery, we believe that children learn when they are having fun. Children daily take part in planned and child initiated activities, which support children's learning and development with effective teaching. We provide learning opportunities in line with the EYFS as well as opportunities that strengthen the child's physical, emotional and social skills.
Meal Times
Report
We take great care to provide children with nutritious and wholesome food, prepared by fully qualified professionals. We provide a 3-week rotational lunch and tea menu and cater for special dietary requirements. The main courses are always served with vegetables/salad to ensure children get all the vitamins and minerals they need to stay healthy.
