It was in 1999 that I received a letter regarding the availability of the lease of a local church hall. After more than a decade of working in the childcare profession, starting as a volunteer assistant and ultimately working my way up to manager, I felt this was the time for me to start my own nursery.
I viewed the hall at Saint James Church, my Grandmother had been a park keeper there during my happy childhood, and so it seemed quite natural for this to be the home of Little Acorns. The reputation of the nursery soon grew, as did the waiting list! We expanded opening a second site, and again demand for places grew, as did the waiting list!
