Service was good but cod chips and peas were average at best to much batter and very dry fish won't be going anymore

Always a good meal from here. On our last visit the hostess showing us to our seat was a bit cold. Thankfully she wasnt the one serving us. Everyone was seated close to one another in a corner. There was plenty of room to spread us out but at the end of the day that wasnt a massive issue and cant complain as we were the ones who decided to eat out in the current situation. Will no doubt be visiting again soon.

Used to love Whitby’s and always have although after recently going vegetarian I am very disappointed to find out that there are only 2 things on the main menu suited to vegetarians as the chips are deep fried in beef dripping 🥺 so unfortunately will not be returning. Not very inclusive of a diverse community in 2022

Went here today they brought my fish with chips which I hadn't ordered so she took it away so when it came back I found the battery a bit cooler and less crispy. My husband says his fish was greasy and the chips weren't very hot so didn't enjoy the meal at all. My daughter experienced the same greasy essential 2 weeks ago so we won't be going back there anytime soon Doncaster one is far superior
