I just need to say Kerry had went above and beyond for me and my hair. My hair was a complete nightmare and she turned it around. She made me feel comfortable and listened to what I wanted. After being highly recommended, I decided to book my mum in for a haircut and colour. So we specifically booked her in with the most senior stylist and emphasized on this. Firstly, she was told to pop in for a colour test on her hair and then 5 days later was told to pop in again for a skin test just in case of an allergic reaction. Two days later, she turned up early for her appointment and a young man started working on her hair. She got her hair cut and then as the stylist was blow drying her hair, she questioned whether she was suppose to get her hair dyed before it being blow dried. After

If you have fine straight hair then this would be a great salon but if you happen to have thick curly hair than this isnt the place for you. I really wanted to like The Vanilla Room. Its local to me and I really like the vibe of the salon however despite trying this place four times and seeing two different Art Directors, my experience hasnt been great. They just dont seem to have the understanding or experience of cutting thick, curly hair. When booking my appointment, I made sure that I requested for someone who had experience cutting my hair type and I was assured that they were

Excellent hair salon in Hornchurch. Received a wonderful haircut yesterday from Kirsty, who was professional, friendly and incredibly skilled. It was my first visit to The Vanilla Room, on recommendation from my mum and sister who have been going there themselves, and Ill certainly be making it my new hair salon. I really enjoyed my experience and felt relaxed and looked after - I felt I had received a real treat, which is exactly what I had hoped for. I have been going to the Vanilla Rooms for many years now and Kerry and her team always provide a professional and friendly service. Despite the challenges of covid Kerry has gone over and above to ensure clients feel safe. Nice touches like private room availability for those who are vulnerable or feel anxious about visiting the salon post lockdown, a bespoke coat hanging facility, plastic visas whilst at the wash basin and disposable cups so you can still enjoy a drink. I will always be grateful to Kerry who was so caring and compassionate when I lost my hair due to chemo; her expertise was invaluable
