The minimum height for a loft conversion is 2.3 metres (7 ft 6 in). As a rule of thumb, a height of around 2.4 metres (7 ft 10 in) in the highest part of your loft is adequate. You must ensure safety for the inhabitants of a home with a loft conversion and there are minimum standards for design, health and safety and construction of a loft conversion.

This conversion is on top of the 5th floor of an apartment block in London's Docklands. The Master bedroom leads out onto a "Roof Terrace" via a velux window and door system. The terrace itself has a modern man made decking system that is non slip and non maintenance. We have installed low voltage L.E.D's.
