Solar Panels

There are 3 types of solar panels available: Monocrystalline, Polycrystalline and Thin Film. The two most appropriate for the U.K. market are the Monocrystalline and the Polycrystalline. Due to lower silicon purity, polycrystalline solar panels are not quite as efficient as monocrystalline solar panels- however in our experience the difference between the two is marginal.
Inverters
Report
The inverter is connected to the solar panels and converts the DC current generated by the panels into AC current to make it compatible with your electricity supply. All the electricity generated from the panels passes through the inverter. It is important therefore that you choose an inverter that is reliable, and has a bona-fide guarantee.
Mounting

Not perhaps discussed by many, but nevertheless another important component, as there is no point in spending money on panels, to have them blown off your roof in a storm. Whether it be a ground or roof mounted system, we supply only Schletter or Renusol systems which will hold the panels in place in all conditions.
Immersion Controllers

If you're considering or have already installed solar panels on the roof of your home, you'll be aware that some of your generated electricity will be lost to the grid through export. There is a way to combat this loss without having to install an energy storage system, provided you have an immersion heater in water storage tank.
