History
Report
During World War II, some of their sons joined the Forces. However, when their son William - known as Bill - returned home, he joined his parents in the bakery. He and his wife Vera began delivering bread to the neighbouring villages. Bill and Vera had one son, named Paul. Paul worked with his family after leaving school, and eventually took over the bakery with his wife Pauline.

In our shop we stock a range of bread, rolls, savouries, cakes and confectionery to order, along with cake boards and boxes to buy. Though we strive to keep a good selection of our products available in store, products are available to order. Our talented bakers also make customised celebration cakes, which available to order.

We pride ourselves in using the finest ingredients in our products which are all baked fresh daily at our home bakery in Farnsfield. Whether it's Artisan bread, soft white rolls or tasty treats, we have a great range on offer. We make many different types of bread from traditional white loaves to artisan sourdough using our own recipes.

We produce a wide variety of different sizes and types of rolls (or cobs, breadcakes, baps - we won't judge you here) fresh every day for our customers. Speciality rolls are available to order in a variety of shapes, lengths and weights, with the option of adding seeds or oats. We have a large selection of rolls on offer, ranging from Tomato Rolls, Olive Rolls & Pumpkin Rolls to Fruit Teacakes and Tiger Cakes.

Atherleys Bakery is now offering a food ordering service, similar to the well known Click & Collect system. We ask shoppers to phone the bakery on arrival, if you give your name and vehicle registration details and we will happily load the goods into your vehicle. Farnsfield, Edingley and Halam - Monday to Saturday - Please note there will be a 1 charge for this service.
