About 1 in 8 women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. If it's detected early, treatment is more successful and there's a good chance of recovery. Breast screening aims to find breast cancers early. It uses an X-ray test called a mammogram that can spot cancers when they're too small to see or feel.

All patients who register at the GP surgery will now be allocated a named accountable GP. NHS England contractually requires each registered patient to have a named allocated GP. The named accountable GP's role is largely to oversee requirements that are being introduced to reassure patients they have one GP within the practice who is responsible for ensuring that this work is carried out on their behalf.

In certain circumstances we are able to offer a small range of private services that are not provided by the NHS. There will be a charge made for all non-NHS services provided, the fees for most of which are posted on our notice boards at both sites. For some unusual reports or requests, a fee will be levied that most approximates an item on our list.

Cressex Health Centre does not have an on-site pharmacy, however there are several pharmacies located nearby where patients can have their prescription dispensed. We have a prescription team, who are happy to help. For prescription queries please call reception and ask to speak with the prescriptions clerk who is available Monday to Fridays between 10am to 12pm.

When we receive your registration we will register you usually within 14 working days. Incomplete registrations will be rejected. If you cannot submit the online registration or prefer to do this in person you can pick up paper registration forms from reception. If your registration is urgent please call reception before proceeding.
