Bracelets
Report
Bracelets are jewellery adornments worn on the wrist or forearm. From the earliest times, bracelets have been worn by both men and women. One of the earliest bracelets found in recent times was a bracelet discovered in a burial mound in Siberia: the bracelet was radiocarbon dated to 40,000 BP. Bracelets were worn by the Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks, as well as the Anglo-Saxons.
Tiaras
Report
Tiaras first became popular in the late eighteenth century, when Europeans rediscovered the ancient world. Ancient tiaras and headpieces were discovered in Greece and Italy, and tiaras became popular accessories for members of the noble classes, especially for women on their wedding day. Tiaras became the crowning symbol of love and status.
Coloured Diamonds
Report
Most diamonds that are extracted from the earth are colourless. Fancy colour diamonds feature an array of vivid hues and have distinct and opulent colours. Fancy diamonds are valued for the intensity and distribution of colour and are extremely rare. For every 10,000 colourless diamonds found, only one natural colour diamond will be found.
For Gentlemen
Report
Bentley & Skinner are pleased to sell a variety of personal adornment for gentlemen. Our men's jewellery collection includes rings, signet rings, stick pins, tie pins, and cufflinks. Stick pins, or tie pins, are worn inserted vertically into ties or lapels. Cufflinks are worn to join the two ends of a cuff sleeve and are inserted through buttonholes.
Faberg
Report
Works of art by Faberg date back to the nineteenth century, when the firm founded by Gustav Faberg in Saint Petersburg in 1842 became one of the jewels of the Russian Empire known and sought for around the world. In 1882 control of the company was taken over by Gustav's son, Carl, who was appointed master goldsmith.
