A great B&B Hotel with a great location overlooking the unspoiled beach and bay. An old fashioned hotel with eccentric dcor with all the rooms different. Just the tonic after a night at the Premier Inn. The breakfast in the morning as a treat and freshly cooked. The hotel also served breakfast to walking people and there was quite a line of those waiting to be seated bears witness to the quality of the service and food provided including snacks and lunches.

Amazing food and well priced with a menu that will pleasently suprise all. Good friendly service.
Ideally located overlooking the beach you can sit outside or in. More seating area at the back
Would and have recommended Cairn Bay Lodge.

Lovely surroundings, friendly staff and excellent food for breakfast, lunch or coffee and a natter. Just outside an opportunity for a lovely walk along Ballyholm esplanade. My first time there but I will definitely be back very soon.

Spent the night before my wedding here. Hosts were absolutely fantastic and could not have been more helpful. They allowed a photographer into my room and we had some brilliant photos of groomsmen and I getting ready. Highly recommended!

Very quirky but in a nice way. I went with a walking group. We sat outside as there were two dogs with the group. The service was a bit slow and we felt a bit overlooked, being outside. Not being shy we soon got attended. Even the dogs got some water and free bacon bits, a nice touch. Scones and coffee were good. I had the filter coffee with free refills. On my first refill I had to go inside to find it but the waitress was kind enough to fill up a coffee pot for a third cup without the hassle of me going back inside. There is only one toilet which can be a bit inconvenient. A short distance across

Excellent breakfast today, couldn't choose between the lovely porridge or Copeland's Crab with scrambled eggs, so had both. My sister also enjoyed her breakfast. Lovely latte, then moved on to filter coffee with a refill. Very friendly staff team. Home feel. And expect.it to be busy some days by midmorning.
Recommended for a treat.

Starfish . . . besides the excellent food, the main positive I noted here was the service. Certainly when I visited there were sufficient staff to cater for everyone without delay . . . and in a warm and genuinely friendly and helpful manner. Other eateries take note! My only negative is that a lot of the chairs are not over comfortable for sitting in for longer periods.
