Services
History
Report
Cotswold Marquees was established in 1987 with a single 30ft x 15ft canvas marquee. Our first hire was in the village of Charlecote, a party to celebrate Margaret Thatcher winning the election. At that time we were known as 'Stour Marquees' or 'Stour Valley Marquee Hire'. In the early days we only hired traditional 'peg and pole' marquees and worked out of farm buildings in the hamlet of St Dennis, located between Shipston-on-Stour and Tysoe.
Manufacturing
Report
As our expertise in fabrics has developed over the years we have taken on more diverse and bespoke work. For example we have made several canvas roofs for exhibitors at the Chelsea Flower Show, re-covered decorative gypsy caravans and made covers for trailers, boats and cars. We have even made a pit shelter, horse blankets and a cow sling!

Traditional Marquees
Report
When people think about marquees they often have in mind the swooping lines, high roofs, wooden poles and guy lines of a traditional marquee. It has the look, feel and smell of a summer's day. Ideal perhaps for a romantic wedding on the village green with hay bales and strawberry cream teas. A traditional marquee needs a little more space around the edges for a peg line and can only be erected on grass.
Frame/Clear Span Marquees
Report
These marquees are built on an aluminium frame creating a clear space inside with no obstructions. This gives the freedom to use all the space and to have a free hand in designing the interiors. These structures have no guy line around the outside of the marquee therefore no wasted space at your venue.
