Our restaurant offers three distinct spaces for different occasions. The Long Room seats up to 100 guests for celebrations, while the Boat Room provides intimate settings for smaller groups. The heated terrace offers al fresco dining with quayside views. All areas serve locally sourced British cuisine with daily menu specials.
Bar
Cask Marque accredited bar featuring regional ales, premium spirits, and seasonal cocktails. Our extensive drinks menu includes local ciders, wines, and soft drinks. Enjoy daily cocktail promotions on the waterfront terrace or in our vibrant bar area with live music events.
Pizza Delivery
Order our famous Devon-made pizzas for collection or delivery through Deliveroo. Available in classic and specialty varieties, all pizzas use locally sourced ingredients. Customers can also pre-order directly via phone for convenient collection from our Exeter Quay location.
Tapas

Can I book a table at Quayside Restaurant?
Yes, we offer online bookings for our Long Room and Boat Room restaurants through our website. Terrace tables are available on a first-come basis.
Do you serve food all day?
Our kitchen operates throughout the day, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Last food orders are taken one hour before closing time.
Are dogs allowed at the restaurant?
Yes, we welcome well-behaved dogs in our bar area and on the heated terrace. Water bowls and treats are available upon request.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit/debit cards, contactless payments, and cash. Unfortunately, we cannot process cryptocurrency transactions at this time.
Is there parking available?
While we don't have private parking, several public car parks operate within 500 meters of our quayside location. Blue Badge holders can use nearby designated spaces.

Myself and my 12yr old daughter came for lunch on the 6th January. It was a miserable, wet and windy day on the Quay but On The Waterfront was open and the friendly staff were very efficient and helpful. It was a bit chilly inside but due to the size of the place and the fact its not exactly a busy time of year with lots of bodies to warm it up, it didn't ruin my visit. We will return again to try more of the menu.

Wonderful view overlooking the river. Food menu is limited but if you like pizzas, tapas and burgers then you'll be fine. Nice selection of wines on offer and friendly helpful staff. Worth a visit if you're down by the river, plus they do cocktail promotions from Sunday - Thursday 😉

Been here a few times and food has always been great but went today and burger was overcooked and only about 10 chips on our plates. Kids portions were bigger than ours and for the price of a hefty 42 quit. Won't be going again as know a lot better places.

Great range of starters and pizza toppings, plenty of vegetarian/vegan options among both. No seafood pizza toppings though which was surprising. They can do some GF pizzas too, I really enjoyed my Silciliano with extra pulled chicken. Really helpful staff who took care to double check allergens which was really appreciated.

Went here on Saturday and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I have eaten here before but would not eat on this visit. Was a beautiful autumnal day and wanted to sit outside and enjoy the view. There were plenty of empty tables but they were all dirty and littered with empty glasses and plates full of half eaten food. There was food and rubbish all over the floor (which the pigeons were enjoying). When mentioning this to the staff they were very abrupt with their answer. If they take no pride in front of house then God only knows what is going on in the kitchen.
