Established in 2015 our Podiatry Clinic on Langley Moor High Street, Durham strives to provide you with the highest standards of Podiatrist care. We have two experienced Podiatrists working at the practice. James Hogg and John Westgarth have worked in many specialist areas during their careers. James has a special interest in Biomechanics and musculoskeletal injuries.

Our clinic is modern and welcoming and you can benefit from free parking. As well as offering appointments throughout the week the clinic is open on Saturday mornings and on a Wednesday evening. Appointments to see James and John our Podiatrists can be made easily online and we hope you can benefit from the full range of services we provide both to residents of Durham and further afield in North East England.

Our routine podiatry appointments are 30 minutes long. During your first appointment a full medical record including any medication is needed. A foot health assessment is performed which when used in combination with your concerns allows the Podiatrist to tailor the treatment to your needs. Any foot complaints that you have can be addressed and further advice provided if needed.

Patients may self-refer for Podiatry. GP referrals are also welcome. Some insurance policies require that you are referred by a doctor, please check with your insurance provider. There are local NHS podiatry teams which your GP may refer you to. Please contact us if you have any questions. We are currently in the process of registering with all the leading medical companies.

Routine Podiatry

We provide expert podiatry treatment using a blend of traditional techniques and high specification modern equipment. Our Chiropody / Podiatry treatments are 30 minute appointments and are carried out in a friendly and welcoming environment. All our Podiatrist are HCPC registered and adhere to strict guidelines on infection control, decontamination procedures, patient confidentiality and patient well being.
Biomechanical Assessment
Report
In some cases we recommend Orthotics (shoe inserts) to improve foot and lower limb function. Any prescription of orthotics will be discussed prior to being made. We have sophisticated casting technology to enable Custom made (Moulded) Orthotics to be manufactured in our in house Orthotics lab.

A Biomechanical Assessment provides the information to treat a range of injures to the musculokeletal system such as Heel Pain (plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendon pain), Knee Pain, Mortons Neuroma, ball of the foot pain and Tibialis Posterior Tendon Dysfunction to name but a few.
