Went on a quiet Friday lunchtime - my young children were made to feel very welcome. Beer was great and the shin of beef pie was amazing. I wish this was my local pub!!!!

Pleasant surroundings, lots of steps . Large comfortable bedroom . Shower was a bit of a challenge with no shower curtains. Road noise was a slight issue. Good breakfast.

We booked a large table with lots of children, dogs and food allergies but despite all this the food and service was excellent. They happily amended the menu choices for the kids specific requests and dietary requirements, the young waitress asking how our food was and providing excellent and prompt service. Great old traditional English pub in a beautiful setting, many specials available on the menu and everyone enjoyed the food immensely. Recommend
