The Osteopathic Centre
We would prefer you to book online. We will then call you to perform a basic health screen to check if you can attend the appointment. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your appointment - we do not have space within the building to accommodate high numbers of patients and we would ask you remain outside until your appointment.

Phones, car keys, sunglasses and other items must be placed in a pocket or your handbag and not handled again until you leave. You will be given an approved mask to use while you are in the building and instructed how to fit it. After your treatment, if you have booked online, we will get you to exit the building immediately.

Once you are registered with us you do not have to pay another initial fee, even if you visit us with a different problem. A cancellation fee may be levied if 24 hours notice is not given of cancellation. If you cancel more than one appointment in succession we may ask for payment in advance of booking and treatment.
New Patient Information

Osteopaths treat each person as an individual, your treatment will be designed around you. On your first appointment you will be asked a series of questions. Most of the questions are about your immediate problem, we will also ask about any previous problems and your medical history. Some of these questions may not seem relevant, but they will help us to build a full picture of your problem.
Treatment
Report
Osteopathic treatment varies considerably from practitioner to practitioner and in individual practices. This usually involves movement of your joints and work on the surrounding tissues, such as muscle and ligaments. The treatment will usually be in the form of soft tissue manipulation (massage) and palpation (touch).

Why a Chaperone? You may feel more comfortable bringing a friend or your partner with you to your appointment, this can be helpful especially on your first consultation. We understand that seeing someone for the first time can be a strange and for some a stressful experience. We are happy for you to have a companion with you for both your consultation, and treatment, on your first or any subsequent visits if this makes you feel more comfortable.
