The athmosphere was perfect. The owner was also very hospitable and pleasant person... He offer to us the speciality of the day "Deer's meat with special Wine sauce" and really was very delicious.

If you like fancy places this is top. A bit too expenditure for what it is in my taste, but people like to pay extra for so called chef cuisine :-)

The good: delicious food, we had the boar stew, spicy shrimp, and the burger, all prepared without a fault. The chocolate dessert was a heavenly soft, almost mousse-like, cake. I would've had a second one if I wasn't already overeaten. Service was fast and friendly. The bad: presentation of the food was severely lacking, scooped straight from the pot onto the plate, without wiping drips off the fringes. The interior is a mishmash of stuff and not very cozy, nor modern or hip. Prices are too high for the quality of the food. In conclusion: a nice and welcome addition to Aalst's culinary scene
