If you have the 'original' paper driving licence, this remains valid. When hiring a vehicle from us, we still need to validate your driving license and any endorsements as the photo card does not currently provide the up to date information on disqualifications and endorsements.
We therefore have both a legal and an insurance requirement to check the licence of every named driver that hires form us with the DVLA before we can issue any customer with a rental vehicle.You can then generate a CHECK CODE, you can either call us or e-mail to us the CHECK CODE or bring it with you when you collect the vehicle for us to check online with the DVLA.
