Pet Nutrition
Report
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
Cat Advice
Report
Cat's nutritional requirements are very different from those of dogs or humans. They must be fed high levels of easily digestible protein and this protein needs to be meat, because it is the only source of some amino acids (building blocks of protein) essential for felines. Although cats can make use of carbohydrates (including some sugars), their main source of energy is from protein.
Dog Advice
Report
We all know that a balanced diet plays an important part in maintaining our dog's health and vitality. What we are not so clever at remembering is that dog's nutritional requirements are different from our own - what is good for us is not necessarily good for our dogs. Additionally, requirements vary depending on the age, size, breed and lifestyle of a dog.
General Pet Advice
Report
Our cats and dogs cannot make sure that their teeth and oral health are in good order. They're not able to brush their teeth twice daily nor willing to go to the dentist every 6 months, so we must take care of their teeth for them!

Some dogs can be a little shy of their mouth being opened if they are not used to it, and so it makes sense to make a mouth examination part of your general puppy training (along with looking in the ears and looking at the feet - all sensitive areas) to get your dog used to this type of handling.Poor dental hygiene can cause chronic (long term) pain and discomfort for your pet.
