Services
Crown Thinning
Crown thinning selectively removes branches to increase light penetration while maintaining tree shape. This improves plant growth and reduces shade on buildings. Our arborists remove dead or crossed branches, ensuring no more than 30% of the canopy is thinned to preserve health. Ideal for dense canopies, this service enhances aesthetics and structural integrity while complying with BS3998 standards.
Tree Stump Removal
Stump removal prevents regrowth and prepares land for replanting or paving. Using specialist stump grinders, we eliminate stumps with minimal ground disturbance, avoiding damage to utilities. This service is recommended immediately after felling but can be performed at any time. Our equipment ensures efficient removal, leaving a clean, usable space.
Section Felling
Section felling safely removes trees in confined spaces. Our team uses ropes and rigging to lower branches piece by piece, preventing damage to surroundings. This method is ideal for trees near buildings or in restricted areas. We prioritise safety with advanced techniques, ensuring controlled dismantling even in hazardous conditions.
Crown Reduction
Crown reduction manages overgrown canopies to protect structures and clear pathways. Branches are pruned back to growth points, maintaining balance and health. This service follows BS3998 guidelines, using lowering ropes to prevent damage. It ensures trees remain aesthetically pleasing while reducing risks from oversized branches.
Straight Felling
Straight felling efficiently removes unwanted trees in open spaces. Our arborists assess hazards, determine fall direction, and execute controlled cuts. Stumps are left close to ground level. This method requires expertise to avoid injury or property damage, which our qualified team guarantees with rigorous safety protocols and directional cutting techniques.

Used Ariel for various jobs over a period of about 4 or 5 years. Highly reputable company and level of professionalism from the quoting of costs, to the completion of job and tidying and removal of branches. Would happily recommend.

Just had the guys from aerial tree care round to remove our conifer hedge. They have done a fab job and did excatly what I wanted them to do. They checked with me as the job moved along to make sure I was happy with how it was going. More importantly they cleaned up after the hedge was removed and also made sure my neighbours garden was free from any debris they had created. The price quoted was the price I paid. I would not hesitate to use them again and would recommend them to anyone needing this type of job done.

Smashing service once again from Ariel Tree Care. Came to quote when they said they would. Came to do the jobs when they said they would. Pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable and they left the site clean and tidy in spite of the awful weather conditions. Thank you again and would recommend unreservedly.
