At Somerset Boat Centre we can offer you a variety of ways to get on or be near the water and have some fun. We offer canoes, kayaks, self-drive motor boats and a chartered narrowboat.
In addition the centre itself is a fantastic destination for that special event with its unique location and brand new facilities. Somerset Boat Centre is a recognised RYA training centre for water related courses, alongside this we also offer other work based training programmes.

The Narrowboat will be running 1.5 hour trips from Somerset Boat Centre to North Newton, Somerset and return at various times. 2 1/2 hour cruise collecting fish and chips half way along the route and then returning to SBC. Complimentary tea and coffee and full bar facilities available if you fancied a pre meal drink at the centre or on board Somersun.

Are you searching for a sport that improves both your physical and mental health? Paddleboard yoga can offer both along with a load of enjoyment, whilst connecting with nature. 16.00 per person Sessions start at 18:30 and include a warm up paddle to get familiar with the boards, you will need to arrive at 18:15 if possible to allow time to get on the water.

Available for morning, afternoon and evening cruises. A new trip narrow boat able to carry twelve passengers and two crew is available for private hire. 4 seater rowing boats available to hire from 1 hour, very stable and dry boats ideal for those that want a little exercise! Pelican ram-x 3 seater canoes (or 2 adults 2 children) are available to book for an hour, half day or full day.

RYA accredited one day Inland Waterways Crew Course minimum 2 people. This is an entry level course and can be run in conjunction with the Inland Waterways Helmsman's course for mixed ability groups. This course is ideal for introducing friends or family members to crewing a vessel on the inland waterways, and for giving them an understanding of how they can assist the helm.

Regulated OFQUAL first aid courses are provided as standard by Somerset Boat Centre and they are the only courses that we recommend. We have a modern approach to all our training and our courses are delivered by serving emergency services personnel with real experience. This level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course will provide the knowledge and confidence to administer First Aid.
