Due to the ongoing blood bottle supply issues. As we are unable to monitor blood results for routine long term condition monitoring such as diabetes, we are under guidance to postpone booked / planned appointments. If you receive a call cancelling your upcoming appointments, please accept our apologies and understand that this issue is beyond our control.
A supplier to the NHS has advised us of a global shortage of some equipment used for taking blood tests. Anyone who needs a test for urgent health problems will still get one but where your clinician recommends that it's safe to do so, then you may be asked to come back for a test at a later date, or your appointment may be rescheduled.

Clinics & Services
Report
Prescriptions for appropriate anti-malaria medicine - this will be on a private prescription (this means you will have to pay for the entire cost of the medicine) as the NHS does not provide anti-malaria medication. If you require travel immunisations, please book a travel consultation phone call with our practice nurse as early as you possibly can, and at least 8 weeks before travel.
Practice Staff
Report
Our practice nurses hold clinics each weekday and are available to give general healthchecks, take cervical smears, give travel and routine injections, carry out diabetes, asthma and heart checks. Hearing tests, ECG's, registration checks (for patients who have just joined the practice), oral contraceptive and HRT checks may also be carried out by the practice nurses.
Patient Group - Who We Are
Report
CDPPG champions patient views, and provides quality assurance that patient, carer and public concerns (needs) are taken into account so that services are provided in an appropriate, safe, effective and timely manner for the population. During 2015-2016 patient representation on the committee will be made up of volunteers involved in the previous virtual group.
In the Community
Report
The Volunteer Centre is an invaluable resource for the village and surrounding community, providing information and signposting services on matters relating to housing, jobs, benefits, local opportunities and other services. These are all available at the Drop In Centre on Borough Street. However the Volunteer Centre offers a far wider range of services than this and their website proves to be an excellent guide to all they offer.
Family Health
Report
Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control. This booklet is for parents (and older children) and deals with common infections in children who are normally healthy. There is a good guide on the NHS website which describes various conditions affecting children.
