The curriculum here at St Michael's, underpinned by the National Curriculum, holds our children and their aspirations, environment and development at its heart. Whilst allowing them to build their knowledge, skills and resilience, it also prepares them for their future as citizens of Liverpool and the wider world.

We have an excellent team of staff who are all totally committed to ensuring every child in our care receives the best possible education in an exciting, happy, safe and secure environment. One thing that is always at the top of our agenda is the high quality of teaching and learning for the children.

Our school is a big family with strong parish and community links. Care and excellent standards of teaching and learning are key factors of our mission statement. At St Michael's we aim to help children develop in their journey of faith in a positive learning environment and we place Jesus, His teachings and His values at the centre of what we do.

The Department for Education have reinforced the need "to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs."
