There are many ways in which a funeral service can be personalised and many reasons for wanting to do so. If people have spent their lives supporting a particular football team, or played in a band or group, it can be nice to include a reference to this during the day. The country of someone's birth or membership of a club or society can also be represented at the funeral.
How we can help
Report
Following a death, there is a legal requirement for the death to be registered. This has to be done within 5 days and generally by a relative of the deceased, someone present at the death, or the person with the responsibility of arranging and paying for the funeral.

The doctor who attends the deceased will complete a Medical Certificate of Cause of Death that needs to be collected and taken to the registrars, whereupon registering, you will be issued with a Green Form and your Death Certificates. The choice on which funeral director to use is entirely that of the family.
Flowers & Memorials
Report
Flowers may well be the last gift you are able to buy for someone. They add colour and life to a funeral. They can help to decorate the coffin and be placed in a grave as part of a burial service. Below is just a small selection of our standard range of floral tributes but almost anything is possible.
Obituaries & Donations
Report
Placing a notice into a local or national newspaper is the most traditional way of informing people of the date and time of a funeral, as well as giving family, friends and acquaintances the chance to say how they feel about losing someone special to them.

In general a newspaper will not accept a main notice without first confirming the funeral details, however, in most case a family will be quite happy to entrust the placing of the notice to their chosen Funeral Director. An obituary, or notice of death, can include whatever information a family wishes to give, but ordinarily would include the date, time and location of a funeral service.
