We understand that getting your documents "apostilled" or "legalised" can be confusing time consuming and, if not completed correctly, expensive. The simple answer is different countries have different requirements that must be met before they will accept your documents. Many countries require that the identity and authority of the Notary Public is certified by the country or State in which they practise.

In order for your documents to be accepted in certain countries they may insist that, once notarised and then apostilled, your documents are subject to an additional level of verification in that they must go to the UK-based Embassy or consulate of the receiving country and verified.
