Greek On The Docks was founded by a trio of passionate hospitality professionals with decades of combined experience in the food industry. Our journey began in Thessaloniki, Greece, where Georgios Karayiannis launched his first caf-bar at age 24 while studying physical education. Over 30 years, we expanded our expertise across Greece and Germany, managing successful ventures like Treffpunkt Restaurant with my wife Athina, who holds formal qualifications in tourism and hospitality. Yiannis Karayiannis, our co-founder, honed his skills as a restaurant manager in Greece before helping establish Treffpunkt as chef and manager. Our collective vision culminated in 2017 with the opening of Greek On The Docks in Gloucesters historic waterfront, combining traditional Greek recipes with modern presentation.

We prioritise locally sourced ingredients to create authentic dishes like Gemisto Pork and Baklava, served in a relaxed atmosphere that reflects our Mediterranean heritage. The restaurants design incorporates elements of Greek culture while embracing its Gloucester Docks setting, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Our menu features classic Greek dishes alongside innovative creations, including vegan options and a curated wine list. With a dedicated team of chefs and hospitality professionals, we maintain rigorous standards of quality and service.
